Electrodes are made from tungsten or stainless steel and offer greater control and increased durability. Fine wire loops minimize thermal damage and yield good histopathology specimens. Tungsten wire ensures an accurate and smooth excision. It also retains its mechanical properties at a higher temperature than stainless steel, tungsten maintains better shape and wire integrity throughout the excision procedure.
